Review: Camay Creme Vanilla Shower Gel

I had a chance to try the new product line of Camay "Body Wash" endorsed by Angelica Panganiban when  my shower gel got emptied. I bought it for only P65 as their introductory price in a store near my place. It contains 250-ml creamy vanilla-scented shower liquid gel. This is a bit pricey compared to other shower gel I tried. The question is, is it worth the price?

The next morning,  I lavished my body with this body wash. I was totally surprised when I smell the scent. Its fragrance reminds me of my previous company's lotion scent. Yes, they have the same vanilla scent but Pervil Whitening Lotion got a concentrated one.

Unlike some soaps that I tried, this body wash is infused with moisturizer.  It simply runs smoothly all over my body. That's perfectly good at this time of the year when the cold breeze dominates the day's weather. After bathing, I felt the smoothness and softness of my skin, plus its scent last for sometime.

I've been using this product for three weeks now, and my overall experience is quite good. Camay Creme Vanilla Shower Gel can be an alternative to my body wash. It kept its promise by leaving my skin soft and scented.

  5. I'm a fan of liquid soaps too! I love the scent emanating once I lather my body with it. You should also try Avon's Milk and Honey liquid soap, J&J Milk Bath.

  12. This makes me want to try Camay, too. I just worry if shower gels get used up more quickly than its bar counterpart.

  13. I'm not a fan of body washes because it's always hard to rinse. I'm always in a hurry and I like it when I rinse suds off it just all goes away quickly. But with this post, I might give it another try! I remember Camay when I was still younger, their commercial had influenced me a lot about face washing. :)

  15. I remember using Camay soap as a kid. It was popular where I grew up and I'm glad to see they still make great soaps. :-)
BTW, I forgot to add my blog to this week's bc list, a visit would be appreciated.

  16. I love shower gels, it makes the skin softer. I'm having dry skin kasi every time I use a soap bar. My fave is from Dove, but I'd definitely try Camay if I see one in here.

  23. That's my first reaction sa mga shower gels, mahirap irinse. Pero ganun ata talaga since mas maraming moisturizer ang shower gels compared to regular bath soaps.

  24. I remember Camay soap sold in ssari-sari stores. It was pronouced as 'kamay' (hands) by many. Good thing they are coming back with other products.

  28. I actually started looking for this when I read about it being out. Tama si Daddy Allan. It was pronounced Kamay back then until we realized it is Camay. By the way, I also like a rebirth of Ivory Shampoo (the ang gaan gaan ng feeling jingle, remember?)

  31. I'm very fond of body wash than soaps so I've been dying to try this new product but my current use is still half full. Good thing I've read your review and that makes me itch to really try it na talaga. I like vanilla scents pa naman. :-)

  33. I agree with @DaddyAllan:disqus it's good that Camay is making a comeback. Wasn't Carmina Villaroel an endorser before? Anyway, I love using shower creams/gels and liquid soaps. My current favorites include fruity ones from The Body Shop, the Olay variants that leave your skin with a shimmer, and the Green Tea one from Watsons. I'll try Camay too. :)

I saw an ad in the television about CAMAY. My mother also told us that she used to work as a promodiser of CAMAY. I wonder what would be the effect when using it. :) Might give it a try.
